There is a HICAS trouble shooting section in the service manual that also shows the electrical schematic. ST section, starts on pg. 36 if I recall. Might check it out and show it to your tech to see if it jogs a bell with anything they may have done. The only remotely possible electrical issue that I can think of could have occured when your techs installed your EBC and they spliced into something HICAS related, which has intermittently messed up the readings going to the sensor. But it's a long shot. Fluid level or a problem with the float in the reservoir itself really matches all your symptoms. Good luck.
